Have questions about your roof? Below are answers to the most common questions we get from homeowners and property managers in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to contact us directly — we’re here to help.
1. Are you licensed and insured to do roofing work in Florida?
Yes. We are fully licensed to operate as a roofing contractor in the State of Florida and carry both general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. This protects both you and our crew. Documentation is available upon request.
2. Do I need a permit to get a roof replacement or repair?
Yes. In almost all cases in South Florida — including roof repairs over a certain size — a building permit is required. We handle all permitting and inspections through your local municipality and ensure everything is done to code.
3. How do I know if I need a roof replacement or just a repair?
We provide a full inspection before making any recommendations. If the damage is isolated and the roof has plenty of life left, we’ll recommend a repair. If the roof is older, has widespread issues, or can’t meet hurricane code, we’ll walk you through the replacement options.
4. How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential roof replacements take between 2 and 5 days depending on the type of roof, size of the home, and weather conditions. We’ll give you a timeline up front and keep you updated daily throughout the job.
5. What roofing materials do you offer?
We install asphalt shingles, concrete and clay tile, metal roofing systems, and flat roofing materials like TPO and modified bitumen. All materials are approved under Florida Building Code and, where applicable, Miami-Dade NOA.
6. Are your roofing systems hurricane-rated?
Yes. All roofing systems we install are compliant with the Florida Building Code and rated for high-wind uplift in hurricane zones. We only use products and fastening systems approved for South Florida, including options that meet Miami-Dade HVHZ (High Velocity Hurricane Zone) standards.
7. Do you work with insurance claims?
Yes. If your roof damage is related to a storm or other covered event, we can assist you through the insurance process. While we are not public adjusters, we help document the damage, provide detailed estimates, and communicate with your carrier to move your claim forward.
8. What warranties do you offer?
All new roof installations come with a manufacturer’s material warranty (typically 25–50 years depending on the product) and a workmanship warranty from our company, typically 5–10 years. We will review both warranties with you before you sign.
9. What financing options are available?
We offer financing through trusted third-party lenders for qualified homeowners. Options may include low monthly payments, deferred interest, or same-as-cash programs. Ask us during your estimate, and we’ll walk you through it.
10. How soon can you start my roofing project?
Start dates vary depending on material availability, permitting turnaround, and current workload. In general, we can begin most projects within 1 to 3 weeks of contract signing. Emergency repairs can often be scheduled much faster.
11. Do you offer emergency services after storms or hurricanes?
Yes. We provide emergency roof tarping, water mitigation referrals, and rapid assessments after major weather events. Our team is experienced in handling post-storm damage throughout South Florida and can help prioritize safety and insurance documentation.
12. What makes you different from other roofing companies in South Florida?
We’re a local company with years of experience in the South Florida climate, code requirements, and construction standards. We prioritize honest assessments, fast communication, clean job sites, and long-term quality — not just quick sales. Our goal is to protect your home, not pressure you.
